referring to plants locked down at my houses

i understand plants die off in the winter, wondering where i could locate the specifics of that update had an epic garden, there are a few stumps, but most plants are just gone?

How did I lose talisman points? got a message saying "you feel a cold chill as your talisman drains of power" just wondering whats up was killing lizards with a slayer...

Wondering if its in purpose, I am a fencer, hitting everything in khaldun caused no rise in points on my totem lizardmen in swamps give me points even, so wasnt sure if turning grey changes how much points you rack up?
