Ethereal Stone - (Propertiy) - Contain Ethereal Waves (Source of Magic in Ultima)

  • 120 Mining - Ability to dig up Ethereal Stone - (Random Property)
  • Drop on Magical Creatures (Figure out "drop rate") Ethereal Stone - (Random Property)
  • The Soulforge
    • Soulforge Smelt - Storeage of Power - MUST HAVE "a legendary hammer" Equipped if any other hammer equipped will result in automatic failure
      • Smelt a Magical or Runic Weapon and/or Armor
        • Using these skill for a success rate for Weapon/Armor smelted
        1. Tinkering vs Blacksmith (Smith Weapons, including blackstaff)
        2. Tinkering vs Carpentry (Gnarled Staff, Quarter Staff, Club)
        3. Tinkering vs Tinkering (Hatchet, Smith's Hammer, Slege Hammer, Pickaxe)
        4. Tinkering vs Arms Lore (Armor, Shields)
          • If Successful Destroy Item and have it's modifications within the forge
          • Failure Destroy Item with random chance of injury or death
            • Slayer Properties are completely destroyed with this process
      • SoulForge Property Storage: 0 Minimum Charges / 20 Maximum Charges
      • Durable - 0 / 20
      • Substantial - 0 / 20
      • Massive - 0 / 20
      • Fortified - 0 / 20
      • Indestructible - 0 / 20
      • Defense - 0 / 20
      • Guarding - 0 / 20
      • Hardening - 0 / 20
      • Fortification - 0 / 20
      • Invulnerability - 0 / 20
      • Accurate - 0 / 20
      • Surpassingly Accurate - 0 / 20
      • Eminently Accurate - 0 / 20
      • Exceedingly Accurate - 0 / 20
      • Supremely Accurate - 0 / 20
      • Ruin - 0 / 20
      • Might - 0 / 20
      • Force - 0 / 20
      • Power - 0 / 20
      • Vanquishing - 0 / 20
        • When Successful add 1 point to the corresponding property listed above
        • When a Charge gets to 20/20 you then may attempt to create an Ethereal Stone - (Property Name)
        • You can use an Ethereal Stone of a lesser tier to contribute to the next level (Use a Ruin Ethereal stone to the Might tier).
    • Use Ethereal Stone on ONLY basic material exceptional weapons/armor (Iron, Normal Wood
      • Successful Tinkering Check Applies Ethereal Stone - (Property Name)
      • Failure of Tinkering Check Destroys Ethereal Stone and Object the stone is being used upon
Ethereal Stones can be sold to Tinkers and Blacksmith NPCs for another source of income. Value of each property should already be part of the npc sale system?

Item: Agate Gem

Description: A type of Quartz Gem

Item: Flask of (Reagent)

Skill: Alchemy 90 - 100

Creation: 1 Empty Flask (Glassblowing), 1000 (Reagent)

Description: Grind 1000 of selected Reagent and place the powder into the Empty Flask (100 Reagent will make flask say 1/100 [Reagent name])

Skill: Tinkering 100 - 120

Creation: 1 Empty Flask (Glassblowing), 100 (Gem) Dust

Description: Smash selected Gem to create dust to place into the Empty Flask (1 gem dust will make the flask say 1/100 [Gem name])

Creation: 1 Flask of Garlic, 1 Flask of Ginseng, 1 Flask of Sulfurous Ash, 1 Flask of Agate Dust

Mage Armor

  • Warning: Items with Mage Armor property CAN NOT be blessed (No Faction Bless as well).

  • Warning: Durability of these items will be cut in HALF of the normal durability when Mage Armor is applied to the items.

  • YOU WILL still suffer DEX penalties where applied.

  • Casting time WILL BE slower per different armor types

  • These items can be repaired via a legendary crafting process.
[Mage Armor] Property – Mage Armor is an property found on armor which allows for meditation in armor pieces which are non-medable, such as Dragon Platemail, Platemail, Chainmail, Ringmail, Studded and Bone Armor. A full suit of Mage Armor would allow meditation the same as standard medable equipment, providing all set pieces have the Mage Armor property. It also negates the armor penalty on the Stealth skill.



Item: Mage Stone of Protection

Creation: 100 Ethereal Stones, 1 Gem of Protection

Use: Applies [Mage Armor] property to Armor via Legendary Crafting Process

Creation: 1 Ethereal Stone, 1 Shovel

Skill to Craft: Legendary Tinkering 120


Use: Target ground to 5 - 25% dig up one of the following

(Example) Grass

  • Random “Junk” Item (skull, whatever)

  • Random Monster (Like a beetle or swarm of bees or so on)

  • 1 – 10 Random (Mandrake, Ginseng, Bloodmoss, Black Peral)

  • Gold 10 – 100

  • Platinum 1 – 5

  • Random (Unidentified) Weapon

  • Random (Unidentified) Armor

Item: Magical Gloves of Crafting

Creation: 5 - 25 Ethereal Stone

Description: Creates "Magical Gloves of (Skill) Crafting" which gives +1 through +15 to a crafting skill when worn (only 1 select skill possibly having charges use like ancient smithy hammer)

So you are saying you could smelt 20 ruins and have a chance to turn a normal weapon into a vanq with those charges.

I like it but perhaps have tiered Stones. Like 3 tiers or even just 2. This way ruins can turn into power etc.

Possibly. Or be able to make the next level up from ruin. Which would contribute to the next level and to the next. This would get rid of the runic hammer system however, but I'm thinking of useful replacements for BoD rewards.

I like ur ideas but probably i preferito to keep it simple so everyone can enjoy..first year..everyone enjoy uof cause was simple.. Im down for addons..u see my post.. :) and i like urs .. But we suggest thinga..simple but with new features for end game ..will be great :)
