Okay so I have had some decent wins on the slot machines (Was up 30k+ at one point) and after getting those 2 big wins to get me to that point I continued playing... Eventually I had 59K and slowly but surely I lost it all... I had high hopes a week later from killing mobs and what not to take 15k to the slots/poker table to try again. Poker is great when it works and when there is actually people playing but when it doesn't I play those damn slots... and lose. Just last night I had 20k that I brought in... I did hit a 10k jackpot at one point but it still put me under what I started with so I continued playing and lost it all.. I get to the point where I don't even want to play anymore. Is there an easier/quicker way to make money in this world of UO?

Those slot machines are supposed to work as a gold sink. So it's expected that you lose money if you tend to use them a lot. A quicker way to make money is by killing monsters and not spending the money you earn on the gambling stones :p

I'd suggest a provo dexxer/mage for PVMing. They are pretty easy to make and are very powerful.

1. Poker is not meant to earn you income. I'm a good poker player but when you have people worth millions sitting at a 15k max buy in table everything you know about poker goes out the window. People do not play like they normally would, welcome to online poker anywhere!

2. The slots are a terrible investment. I've won probably 500k at the slots but it took a mil to get it. I know people down mils at the slots.

If you are trying to spend money to make money at something that is considered a gold sink you're doing it wrong.

That being said, I'm still nursing an addiction of my own :)

I've won 450k first day the slots were introduced and spent maybe 20k. Now i don't need to play it again, because i got the money i needed for my newbie accounts.
If you do it like i did, it's a win if you are addicted will surely be losing a lot of money.
