    UPDATE: FRI. March 4th

This event is now on PART III FIRE (Story line posted below).
    • We have patched in the new invasion system for the last half of the event!
    • The entire Invasion Event system has been rebuilt from the ground up.
    • "[invade" no longer works as a command.
    • "[Invasions" is now the new command for invasions, the gump buttons will be changed soon.
    • Your scores from Part I and Part II of the event have been saved and logged.
    • Your scores from Part I and II will be added to your final score.
    • There is currently no view-able scoreboard.
    • We have removed a lot of information players can see over-all.
    • We have added a progress bar.
    • You will be able to see your placement soon, however you will no longer be able to see your own or any other players score until the END of the event. In other words you can see every participants placing rank, but not their actual event points which determines that rank level.
    • Slayers and Talisman still work as intended, however having a slayer or talisman no longer will reap you more event points than those who do not have them. Slayers and Talisman's are still beneficial as you can kill more mobs at a faster rate than those who do not have them, however if you killed the same amount of monsters at the exact same rate as someone who does not have a slayer/talisman, you now will get the same amount of event points from it. The previous system was in extreme favor of those with slayers/talisman, it was simply unbalanced.
    • All creatures now spawn gradually instead of all at one time when the next level hits.
    • Invasion gates will now lead to just outside of the town so no more instant death upon entering.
    • We can also now change the location of where event gates lead to at any given time.
    • We can now set different regions for different levels of an invasion at our choosing.
    • Each event monster will now only give a limited amount of points. You can no longer farm one mob for constant points.
    • Crystalline fragments now drop randomly on event mobs.
    • You can combine Crystalline fragments into a small, then medium, then large, then a chisseled Crystal.
    • Crystals can be traded, sold, or bought.
    • Crystals are traded in for event points (to be determined), then event points are used to obtain event based special items.
    • Crystals, and Crystalline fragments are stealable.

    • We now have the full ability to completely customize and create unique mobs for any event on the fly.
    • We can now create unique "that event only" type rares as rare loot drops on the fly.
    • We will soon be able to easily attach a vast number of different special effects and abilities to each mob or special end "boss".
    • We can now add a story line to go with each event that will show in the event menu/gump.

    PART I: EARTH

Khegrat had been mining since dawn. His short but muscular arm were beginning to burn, but he kept at it. Like many dwarfs, his clan were blacksmiths. Since word had spread that gold had been found in the mountains of Minoc, miners of both human and dwarven races had all but stripped the caves of the precious metals.

Khegrat was lucky to have found this vein where the ore was plentiful and he wasn’t about to leave it now.
As night started to fall, Khegrat turned on his lanterns and kept working, his pick axe falling hard on the rocks. He went deeper and deeper into the cave, in an area he had never been in all his many years of working these mountains.

    “CLOMP!”

On the downswing, Khegrat fall back and stumbled over his own feet.
‘What the..?” he said, preceding a string of dwarven swears.

After regaining his composure, Khegrat walked over to where he was mining, bringing the lantern closer. A black, smooth looking stone shone through a section of rocks. Khegrat began to chip away the rocks surrounding the black stone.

Freeing it enough to get a good look at it, the stone was large and formed from a strange metal he had never seen. Thinking it precious, he once again took his pic axe to the large stone. After hours of work, he had gotten no where and finally packed up and left for home, planning to return the next day with help. Perhaps they could lift it up and carry it back to their camp.

However, he didn’t get far. The mountain began to rumble causing rocks to fall down around the dwarf. Just before a large chunk fell directly on top of him, Khegrat saw a bright light coming from where the black stone was unearthed.

On the other side of the gate, the world known as Pagan was overrun with elementals, spawned by the four Elemental Titans : Water (Hydros), Air (Stratos), Fire (Pyros) and Earth (Lithos) – and necromancers who coveted their power.

The glowing gate's light gleamed through the darkness of Pagan, a world where there are no virtues. It was Lithos's earth elementals who spotted the gate first. The four Titans gathered their forces and headed to the gate to enter the world of Sosaria and reign upon it death and destruction.

Who will be brave enough to battle the elementals and send them back to Pagan?

    PART II: AIR
The humans are stronger and braver than I thought,” Lithos bellowed, his frown increasing as he watched his elementals fall at the hands of the Sosarians. After two days of battle, the tide was turned in favor of the humans.

A large chunk of the black rock broke off one of the four tips of the gate and crumbled to the ground. Several warriors picked up the pieces. It was rumored by those schooled in the arcane ways that if the gate could be reconstructed, the elementals would be sent back to Pagan and the seal would be shut forever.
In a voice that sounded like the fury of a tornado, Stratos called out for his vortex minions to enter into the gate into Sosaria into the city known as Minoc, a place high up in the mountains where the vortexes gained strength from the strong winds that blew through the caverns.

Black air elementals that could demolish a building with the wind speed of 10,000 flying balrons; vortexes filled with deadly poison; tornadoes made of snow and ice that froze the strongest of metals and turned men into ice; and more made their way from the mountains of Minoc down to the streets.
“We shall see if the mortals can stand up against my elementals as easily as they did yours, Lithos,” Stratos said with a smirk. “However, I think we both know my followers have 10 times the strength of your muddy earth elementals.”
Down in the city, the flurry of strong winds caused by the elementals began to tear roofs off of homes, scattering the miners and their families into the woods. Several took to their horses and headed to nearby cities spreading the news of the horror that entered their city.

The warriors of Sosaria were needed again. But would the vortexes of doom prove to be their undoing?

    PART III: FIRE

The air elementals did, in fact, pose a much bigger risk to Minoc. Their magic and poison left thousands of dead warriors scattered around the city, in the mountains and even in the woods leading to Vesper. However, almost an equal number of votex corpses mixed in with those of the Sosarians who bravely fought against Stratos' minions. Stratos was far less cocky after viewing
the dead vortex but shrugged a bit.

“I am pleased with results,” he told the other titans.
Pyros rose from his great throne and summoned his fire and magma elementals to find their way to the black gate, now in the city called Serpent's Hold. Out from the Fire Dungeon poured the followers of Pyros.

As the gate closed in Minoc, the remaining warriors let out a loud round of cheers. Feeling revived, the fighters made a final push to rid their city of the elementals left behind. The war was over! A robed mage came out from the mage shop and quietly walked over to where the gate once glowed. He bent down and picked up the small slivers of black rock from the ground and quietly disappeared back into his shop. Just before closing the door he heard
    voices yelling from the streets.

Another black rock gate had been opened. This time in Serpent's Hold, the town crier bellowed. Creatures of fire were scorching the citizens! All who could still take up arms were ordered to help defend the city.
The mage shut the door and sighed. Walking to his table of potions, he muttered the words, “kal ort por” and disappeared.

    PART IV: WATER

Once Pyros was happy with amount of carnage done by his fire elementals, the black gate closed in Serpent's Hold. Most of the city was charred from the glowing blobs of blaze.
The robed figure quietly walked to where the gate was and continued his objective, picking up whatever small pieces of black rock was left behind before returning to his home in Minoc.
In Pagan, Hydros chanted the words of his black magic to reopen the gate. It was his turn to unleash his fury on badly wounded world of Sosaria.
“These beings have proven to be tougher than I expected,” Pyros said. “But they are weakened and injured. We shall attack them from the deepest depths of the seas.”
Under the water in the middle of Occlo, the great gate rose and opened. The seas surrounding the city began to swell. Water spouts and elementals formed in the water and moved onto the land. Deep sea elementals grew from the waters and assaulted ships in the harbor, shredding large galleons as if they were made of paper. Sea serpents made meals of the fallen seaman.
A fisherman on the outskirts heard the cries coming from shore. He had heard of the deadly invasions in other cities and new this port was now under siege. He raised his sails and headed back out to sea to send word to other cities to send fighters and now, pirates and privateers, as well as simple fisherman were called into battle.
In Pagan, the four Titans readied themselves to enter the gate once Hydros' minions completed their task. As the world fought the water elementals, they had no idea the worst was yet to come.

    THE FINAL ACT
One by one the titan elementals rose from the black gate as it opened, first in Nujel'm then Minoc, then Serpents Hold and finally in Occlo.
However, the fight didn’t go quite as the titans had planned.
In Nujel’m, Lithos ravaged the land. Corpses covered the ground. Thousands of his elementals crushed the city and the fighters while Lithos’ magic destroyed as many mortals. It soon appeared all was lost for Sosaria.
In a black robe, the unknown mage walked through the fray casing a spell to make himself invisible to the elementals and to Lithos. The pieces of the black gates he carefully collected were now contained into four black runes. Placing one of the runes down near the black gate, he walked a few feet away and muttered the words, “das mani,” a first circle spell. Lithos felt weaker and the fighters noticed and advanced. He cast the second and third circle spells, “Uus Mani” and “Rel Sanct,” giving the warriors more strength and motivation to keep fighting. His attention turned to Lithos who still could not see the cloaked mage.
    “Ort Rel, An Ex Por!”
Lithos was frozen, his magic doing less damage to the fighters.
    It was time.
He muttered the words, “Vas ort flam.”
The black gate began to shake uncontrollably. Lithos could not keep his balance and fell hard onto the gate seconds before a loud explosion filled the air. Without wasting time, the mage whispered the words to open a new gate, “Vas Rel Por.”
A new gate did open, but this time horizontally on the ground. It began to spin, like a great whirlpool in the sea. Lithos and his minions fell into the vorpal and, without warning, the gate closed.
It was silent. Warriors stood in shock. It was over — as fast it began. In Nujel’m anyway.
The robed mage muttered the last eighth circle spell, “An Ex Por,” and the dead warriors on the ground began to awaken.
Using runes, the mage travelled as fast as he could to the other three cities, dispelling of the titans in the same manner, speaking all eight circles of spells onto the black rune made from Titan’s own gates.
In Occlo, when all was finished, a Britannia guard watched the robed man walk away. Turning to the fighter on his left, he motioned to the man with the hidden face.
    “Who is that?” he asked.
Shaking his head, the wounded warrior picked up his helmet and shrugged.
“Just a stranger, mate,” he replied before limping off toward home.

This will give you guys the ability to see how it is now, compared to how it will be with the new system
This will directly be the best way to test the new system in comparison for the staff as well.

    REWARDS:

Below are half of the rewards that will be given to the top point earners for this event.
We will not release information on what they do or what they are exactly.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Okay after carefully watching many of you over the last couple days we decided to make some more improvements on our new invasions system. Because of this, we won't be implementing the NEW invasion system until WEDS/THURS. Possibly even half way through (Friday). We may expand the invasion time for a couple days (max) as well to make sure everything is on key.

This new invasion system will absolutely benefit everyone here, and we want to ensure it's done right. It's a very intuitive large system for our event masters to put on really unique events with special mobs, unique rare drops within those mobs, and even special abilities that are applicable to each individual mob spawn (or bosses).

After watching over the last couple days, Adam came up with the suggestion of adding event tokens as drops on mobs, as well as event points. So what that will do is make it so even if you don't place 1st, 5th, 10th, or even 20th... You still have a chance at killing a creature within the event and that creature dropping a event reward (crystal).
You will then be able to trade, buy, sell or use them to obtain event rewards at your choosing.
Depending on the TYPE of event, you may or may not have to spend all reward crystals within a certain time period. This is something we will always note in the future.

Below are some screenshots of the new system which show exactly how quick and easy it is for our event masters to create on the fly events, special bosses, with unique rares and more in the future:
