    Greetings Citizens of Britannia!

We are very excited to announce our new and improved launcher! We've redesigned and recoded it from the ground up. This launcher has been my pet project for the past couple months and is the main reason you haven't seen a whole lot of me lately.

It is far more robust and feature rich than our last launcher. However, we still expect there to be a few bugs here and there.

    What the application currently has:
    • Self-updating functionality
    • Installs Ultima Online and Razor
    • Selectable updates
    • User Settings
    What is currently in development:
    • Sallos Install
    • Steam Install
    • Optional treehack file install
    • Extensible new interface
    • Error logging
    • User master accounts (in-game accounts can be tied to a master account)
Everything but the extensible user interface and the user master accounts will be completed this week.

The application currently only supports operating systems that can utilize .net 4.5. This means windows XP and below will be unable to run the launcher.

    Regards,
The Ultima Online: Forever Staff Team

Is this one being coded in a more platform agnostic way? I know using the other launcher in linux was impossible. Even if you used the many methods to get all of the .NET variants installed into a wine prefix it still wouldnt work.

Otherwise great job on both launchers!

Never mind that last message.. I got an error too. I'm trying to install .net framework 4.5.2 manually.

I get a different error. "unable to execute file: create process failed; code 740. The requested operation requires elevation."

Figured it out! right click the downloaded file and run as administrator.

I've fixed this. It wasn't executing with administrator privs after the install finished which would cause the program to not run immediately after the install.

We would love it if everyone can try this installer, install over your old version, try installing a new fresh version, whatever you can do. Try do create issues with it, post the issues here, and we would greatly appreciate that!

Installed freshly and all seems to work fine - probably missing the obvious but how do I enable the treehack?

A razor install is included with the UO package. It'll be in the Razor folder wherever you installed Ultima Online.

XP support ended in April 2014, it is very unsafe to use the old version

I tested launcher on Windows 7 and 8, installation of UO and Razor work fine
old UOSteam folder copy to new location - also work normal
but have some wishes, finalize opportunity - the installation of UOSteam,Sallos
and add the ability to select patches on trees, like in old version launcher

Thank very much for the work! magnificently

    Installed without a hitch. Windows 7 x64
The web page on the front view looks ugly as fudge but uh, that's cause its trying to use IE.
Which, let's just say I didn't realize I hadn't completely obliterated it on this computer yet.

Let me cause you problems now. I shall obliterate IE. I shall not bother today
