Tailoring question

Levelling a crafter, and decided to start with tailoring. Can you 'deconstruct' tailoring items to get cloth back? because i have a lot of cloaks.....

Use scissors on cloth and leather items to get materials back at about half it takes to make them. Non-crafted items like mob drops yield only one cloth. Bone items can not be cut.

Yeah, and since vendors have been set to offer jack for player crafted stuff this is actually the only think you should be doing with them. Once you get to oil cloths they turn into bandaids when cut since they only take 1 cloth to begin with.
