Mining Stone/Sand - Question

Where do i learn to mine stone/sand....i just GM'd Mining and looking to mine stone/sand...can anyone assist?

also what are high quality granite used for? can i smelt them like ore?

You will need to buy the book "Mining for Quality Stone" . There is a merchant at the provisioner in minoc that sells this. I believe it goes for 10k?
Also the high quality granite is for stone crafting, need GM carpentry and you can use the stones to craft stone chairs / tables / vases etc.
