So close to some of them. I can't wait to see what it looks like reintroduced.
Will the current progress be saved and transferred to the new system?
Just when I was about to get my deed for a small house, too......
I have terrible timing and luck with this game.
LOVE the rogue tali, Idea, tho
Is there an armor penalty to rogue talisman exp gains?
Yes, same as zerker and meta mage. Keep your AR low for best possible gains.
Yeah, a good idea is to use store bought leather, and make it slayer armor with the crystal workbench. You take half damage from the mobs that the slayer is strong against while only losing 12% of your gains due to having 12 armor. I think it is 1% talisman relic experience lost per 1 armor. S0 if you have 100 or higher armor, you get 0 gains.
swords vs fencing...... dagger looks to yield the best dmg and fastest speed when compared to other 'knives' of swordsmanship... so fencing i would assume would be better?
I think I will go with fencing once I start. Pretty good pk protection. Grab a quick para blow and **RUN**
PVM: Zerker vs Rogue Talisman
I'm currently conflicted what to pick. If I compare flat weapon damage, an unmodified dagger would give 83% dps compared to an unmodified katana. The katana is slightly faster and requires less stamina to reach faster swingspeeds. The Rogue Talisman comes with a higher initial cost, but the relics are cheaper/easier to obtain so in the long run it seems the Rogue Tali is far better compared to the Zerker one. However, there is a considerable risk that the Shadow Tali will get nerfed in the future. Assuming these numbers are right:
Zerker (L:10) will give 50% damage:
Katana 7-39 (without other modifiers)
Katana swingspeed stamina requirements: 107 (1.25s) / 73 (1.50s) / 48 (1.75s) / 30 (2.00s)
Rogue (L:10) will give 200% damage for knife weapons or 130% damage for crossbow weapons:
Dagger 9-45 (without other modifiers)
Dagger swingspeed stamina requirements: 119 (1.25s) / 82 (1.50s) / 56 (1.75s) / 36 (2.00s)
Crossbow 18-99 (without other modifiers)
Where's my edit button? I mean 17% dps instead of 83%
I would hope/think that any nerf would be balanced out. Obviously if people get double the score of a zerker something would need to be changed but I don't think it would be so drastically reduced as to make the rogue talisman useless.
I'd suggest choosing by play style. Zerker is frantic and fun. Rogue seems to have a little element from all the other talisman. My current impression is that rogue will make an great archery talisman, better so than zerker.
Phase and Tread lend themselves to the up and close melee style. They aren't necessarily wasted on an archer but you won't be as effective as a melee. Shadow Dance will be fun with archery at Champs. With Ruthless, you will be able to pick out poisoned targets in group PvM scenarios. Elude provides a decent defence against spellcasters, so you'll be able to kite tougher monsters.
Good luck and have fun!
For archery, the rogue talisman indeed feels much more natural. While the zerker damage with phase and tread with a heavy xbow may be good, it just is too gamey for me (is that the right word?).
Would definitely get this if it wasn't for the stupid ass decay on relics. Like who came up with this bullshit? Ever thought many people playing this game (which is 20 years old) now have families/work/other priorities and are maybe able to play once or twice a week at most? God this is so stupid.
100 ogres a day, keeps the decay at bay.
Har! Lub dat.
It wud tak me abut 7 deyz ter kil a undred ohgrs. Nut as squishy as der oomies!
100 ogres or ogre lords? Ogres have 160 hit points? I really don't know just asking thanks
that's still a lot, this basically means having to play AT LEAST 1 hour every single day just to keep your Relics up. This gives a new meaning to the word dedication eheheh
That is a lot of kills to do a night. If there was a point system assigned to the monsters, different ones could count for more towards the 100 kills a day. Would make the grind not so grindy and free up some time to do other things during limited play time.
Ettins = 1 point
Ogres = 2 points
Orge Lords = 5 points
Champions = 10 points (Per 1000 score)
Hang in there stealthy friends, changes are afoot!
Mentioned it to you via pm, as a first try maybe recommend to GMs to make it every 150hps = 1 point with a maximum of say 5 points from any type of mob. Maybe even a small bonus for paragons.
