I know something can be done that will appeal to new crafters and vets alike. I do have some faith. Tbh I really do miss have something to work towards in that area cause it has been a dull grind for years.

huh?

I think girana means that the "crafting meta" won't be used to craft items, but it will take crafting skills (and resources) to construct it.

If they can be constructed and then sold like a pet, I could see this being a good source of revenue for crafters. If they can't be sold, I'm not sure who would use it aside from the few people who enjoy both pvm and crafting.

Some good suggestions, i've taken it all into serious consideration and am now trying to work in resource gathering bonuses and crafting bonuses for the Crafters Ensemble.

A few suggestions, nothing too overpowered or unbalancing that would flood the server with easy resources:

Study relic
A level based chance to avoid consuming an item/tool charge [PASSIVE]
Leveled by using toolcharges.
The good:
  • Gargoyle pickaxes might gain in value (specially if the meta provides fighting abilities against elemental spawns),
  • Quality of life: No need carry arround a shitload of tools in your backpack.
  • Arcane clothing becomes a more viable resource.
The bad:
  • Runic hammers/kits and powder of fortification have increased uses. Not sure if that is something desirable for the good of the server. You might want to exclude these along with several other items such as pet summoning balls, rune dyes, cosmic portals, etc...

Slayer relic

Garantied slayer craft in britain, cooldown 48h - 2,5h per level [ACTIVE] and increase slayer craft by 0.1% per level in general [PASSIVE].
Leveled by making random slayers.
The good:
  • People can wait for a guarantied slayer craft while using a high end runic (and get a verite katana of snakes bane, hahahaha!)
  • Random slayer crafting in britain area will see a return again. The penalty imposed due to the slayer deeds really killed that market.
  • Gamblecrafting with blood/frostwood becomes more popular.
The bad:
  • How on earth are you going to make such a long cooldown visible in the interface?
  • Not really coexisting very well with slayer deeds.
  • Everybody will be making slayer daggers to level this, as it is the cheapest to make. Dagger market will be flooded. Rogue tali users rejoice.

Exceptional relic
After you create an exceptional item, you have a level * 4 second window in which all 'make last' items will be guarantied to be exceptional as well.
Leveled by making exceptional items.
The good:
  • QOL: filling BODS with exceptional plate items.
  • Gamblecrafting with blood/frostwood will become more popular.
  • Barding deeds only require an ancient smithing hammer on their first craft.
The bad:
  • Kinda kills the purpose of having fletching powerscrolls added to game recently.
  • Macro crafting gains an advantage over manual crafting as they can produce more good within that window.

I think that the telishment should not be over power to break the balance of the game, maybe something like improves success chance: improve success in farming eg. frost wood or ore, or improve success chance of making the item
and I also think that there should be a telishment for healers whos the main job is to heal or close to it
and try to make a system for healers to get score in Eg. champs

Allow players to recover resources from items previously unable. Wouldn't mind seeing the possibility of upgrading the returned resource, but not sure how you could go about itin a way that would make sense.

Main advantages:
  • Cut bone armor
  • Recover wood from bows
  • Smelt colored armor without the mining skill (for those too stubborn to put mining on their supercrafter)
Minor advantage:
  • Cut footwear
  • Makes npc items worth smelting possibly? Make them able to be smelted in the first place as a perk instead of being "of inferior quality" or whatever. Players who don't go the meta crafting route will instead get the message that they don't know how to work the material, like when trying to smelt color without mining skill.
It's a small suggestion but I dunno it's something.

@girana there's really not much you can do with crafting bonuses that haven't already been done via harvest and craftmanship perks. Adding properties is already able to be done via passive CG bonus, special materials for bows, book crafting, application of slayer deeds, and runics. It's mostly covered already and there is only so much room for more. Unless they add some additional form of imbuing (which I suspect would be an unpopular move) expect this advancement to be heavily focused on materials.

Yeah not sure where the crafting meta name came from @girana.

It's too bad Shane has asked for player input. The original idea (as per the conversations I had with Shane well over a year ago) was to have a meta suit that you needed to be skilled as tradesman to use. It was to be used in the same way as every other meta. Go with your original idea Shane!

- after having gathered resources while having a pick axe equipped, instantly kill the first person to attack you if successfully landing a hit with said pickaxe 48 hr cool down
