Events in EU rush hours

Its seems we are not alone :). Is it Possible to start a event with the invasions tool so no staffmember have to be online? @Shane ,@eppy @Swayze. We would be happy if there would be one from time to time. I understand that the most events starts when the staff is online but we also like to do events and i cant remember when there was a event at a other timezone.

No, it requires a staff member to actually click a button.

The reality is, 90% of our player base is in the NA timezone. We try to have EU events or 24 hour invasions every now and then.

On test server? :D We already have 300 people in our channels and most of them are not americans. So we have a playerbase of 3000 players and every single non american player is N. At least 25% of all active players are non americans. Anyway, I really hope to see some changes...

We completely understand that the majority of players are in the NA timezone. With that in mind, we accept that the majority of events will be held at that time. If you could hold the odd one at a time EU/Asian players could reasonably participate in, it would be greatly appreciated. We’re not fussy, it can be the exact same event held at a different time.

We totally understand that the player base is NA timezone (although I think that this number is not close to the reality) , but still believe that we kind of miss the majority of the events. What we are saying is that if you could maybe work a bit more on that, it would be very much appreciated from a considerable amount of players.

Again, we thank you for everything you do.

90% NA-timezone playerbase? I simply cannot believe that, either you're refusing to see the obvious, but if that's what your logs are showing you, it's because people are using VPN's to connect to the shard. Either in hopes of gaining a better connection or even circumvent the 3 accounts per IP limit.
At this current time, the average players connected is at 856, the maximum amount of players registred is 1903 (based on UOGateway, last night BEFORE server crash) - so, based on your facts, a maximum of ~200 players are non-NA-timezone. So, let's do a little "math" here, 200 divided by 2 (I'm giving you the benefit of doubt the here, assuming they are only logged in with 2 accounts at the same time), gives 100 non-NA-timezone logged in during the event, giving roughly ~85 players during normal gameplay. Well, then I guess my guild holds all of the non-NA-timezone players on the server - unless you want to show us what you base your numbers on?

Fact is, EU players rarely get events at EU primetime, of course we could just find a European shard and join that, but we kinda call this place home and have no interest in joining another world. All we ask, is events that won't keep us up from midnight, throughout the night and till 5am, in hopes of being eligible to the rare drops during invasions and such.

A lot of people keep bringing up the "90%" I mentioned. It isn't 90% but I was just trying to point out the fact that the majority of our playerbase is NA. I don't know the statistics but even if it isn't 90%, its a majority.

It can be difficult to find times that suit players in different time zones, but it's really not that difficult. For example right now it's 10am on the west coast in North America, which is 1pm on the east coast, 7pm EU, 2am in Korea and 3am in Australia. So this (or slightly earlier) would be a good window of time to run an event that people around the world could take part in.

@Swayze We dont want all events at EU timezone but like Xiulan said, it should be possible to do a some events at a better time for non american players. We love such events too and it makes me truing to see how often i miss it.
