When did you discover UOF? I can still remember exactly what I was doing.
The hospital I used to work at was close to my cousins house so when I was on call I'd stay on the couch their. I always brought my laptop and we'd play Torchlight 2. We were taking a break and I decided to google ultima online. UOF was the first thing to come up and it said "Going live on..." The rest is history.

How about you?

My account is 1822 days old.

I've only been here for 9-10 months - I was playing Elder Scrolls Online - great game, but missing something that all the other MMORPG's had been missing for me in the past, a great social connection, a way to converse directly in game, no chat boxes, making it feel immersive... I started digging into UO like games, seeing what was upcoming, hoping to join in something that was made in the same fashion, SOTA, LoA, AO... While waiting for these to launch, I thought I'd check a UO free shard out, and try to figure out what it was that had captured me in a way, that for 15 years I couldn't find true satisfaction in a game...

Remembering UO Gateway - i check it out, first one on the list was Forever, and it was from the era I enjoyed, and behold here I am 9-10 months later, still playing UO.. UO Forever has been a great experience!

I was in the last year of kindergarten.

You must be from Ireland too !!!

Once you're old enough to walk without falling over much, we do a 3yr intensive kindergarten program.... then they put you to work in the Guinness mines. I found a 115 UOF powerscroll on one of the other kids' bodies down there, and have been hooked ever since !

I was playing on Siege Perilous and hating on how pitiful the population had become. I had popped around to a few different free shards but couldn't find one I really liked. I came across UOF's forums before the shard opened, think I tested some beta for a bit but nothing serious and logged in on day one. HOOWAH!

I was playing on RelPor at that time but it was empty. On December 2012 I googled ultima online and I found UOF but I did wait 1 week before joining because I didn't want to start again from scratch just to stop after a few...

I wanted to make sure it would stay for a long time... and here it is after 5 years!!!! WOW!!!!

It's 5 years and I'm still playing every single day for hours...

I heard about it from a friend who played and got banned. He was complaining about it and I was like wow I haven't played UO in years so I googled UO Forever and found it.

I joined this server back when it was only 2 or 3 months old. At the time, I had gone back to UO uoforever after being gone for a few years and couldn't get into it, but then I found some site that listed a bunch of UO free shards and UO Forever was one of them.
I logged onto this server and ran around Ocllo and I remember that I killed an ettin and was surprised that it had a bag of random items on it instead of just gold. I also noticed things like I could walk when fatigued and trapped pouches were red instead normal color and things like that made this server feel vibrant.
I somehow found an axe of vacuum and hunted air elementals until I had enough money to place a house in the spot south east of Shame and the spider dungeons and I've been playing off and on ever since.
