Prior notice for events

I know you guys like to be sporadic when you do your invasion events, but is it to much to ask to do a quick post on the forums maybe an hour ahead of time? I know you may do a quick message on IRC but that would require constantly reading through the spam to catch measages. I spent all weekend playing Friday/sat and early Sunday with no notice of a fun event coming up. Scrambled to log in after reading about it in a price check post of all places only to die immediately to arch demon after despawn...

With your new reward system capitalizing on getting crystal fragment drops it would be nice to be given at least a little notice to be able to participate! @Shane @Adam @halygon

A week calendar would not be out of place at least for events that could be made weekly; CtF match Mondays, tournament Tuesdays, Team Death Matches Wednesdays, ect-ect.

Don't worry that you missed it. I had a level 7 pet with 3x level 10 relics QS/Molten/Bloody and a level 3 Nox. Had my pet in the spawn from start to finish with provoing mobs. Showed me finish in 3rd place for the last hour plus of time using [invasions. When the round was over you could [invasions and see I finished 3rd but then after a magic update I was bumped to 4th.
Don't worry about these invasions. The entire time I heard people in guild complaining how they are a waste of time because of certain "factors" only to have it proven to me at the end of the event. Will never waste my time with one of those again.

Hey there,
I noted it last night that we would do an event, i posted it on our facebook and in mirc and in game.
Then today i posted again, and i gave an hour and a half heads up before the event in game, facebook, and in mirc.

We won't do calendar events, the last thing we want is for people to only log in when there are events, i've seen this happen on a ton of servers.

What are you implying, exactly?
That we bumped you to fourth? We don't even know who is who anymore because people have so many alt chars. Makes zero sense. It's whoever gains the most points through a certain algorithm wins. No one really knows how it works and thats how we like it.

Just because you had maxed out pets with maxed out relics doesn't automatically get you a win every single event, forever, of all eternity.
I thought that's how people wanted it?

I guess I should add the Facebook as an alt source for info but I shouldn't have to look there instead of forums to see it. Was online yesterday and this morning and never saw a message, perhaps my fault or bad timing. Did you do a server wide spam only? Motd?

Probably bad timing since there was a server wide message popup for it. I think the only place it wasnt announced was the forums.

Almost can't blame he guy for calling shenanigans I know I'd be like omgwtfbbq

Oh, well I see the score changed which sounds odd. We're there multiple bosses at the end and do those scores count towards overall score? If so there coulda been a boss or two you didn't see I know I've seen like two arch daemons and a Barracoon going at once with a Semidar thrown in there before a soul devourer or some crazy shit at a Brit invasion once.

I recall a double or triple boss at a Cove invasion. Same with Trinsic I believe.

There was an arch demon and a harrower. I am not sure if their scores get added in to the total.

Because everyone fixated on their score.
I didnt like not seeing my score anymore at first but now I just kill and loot and dont worry about it. I am rarely going to be in a position to grind the full invasion to have a chance on the top scores.

Yeah it was shenanigans bro. I had 3rd place 20 minutes after champ spawn was over, went up and did the final boss and checked my score vs. Interceptt at champ when scores popped at end and I figured I was safe. The top scorers on the champ were like 2000 pts and I had 400 or so. The coin is weighted for sure =).

I've been playing on sallos a lot lately.
I've noticed when a in game message pops up in the top left corner it only stays for a fraction of a secound.
Not sure if it's just me or if other sallos users have this problem too.
Would love to know if I can fix this or if staff could.

Oh i did not know this, i try to do both notify and then also broadcasting it.

it would be appreciated man ... thats the equivalent to the world of warcraft devs only responding to twitter tweets lol ....

i can see what you mean though you dont want ppl to just sign on only for events ... but what if ppl dont know about the events and then never sign on? idk ... just trying to make a greater server that much better =)
