Champion Scores After Server Move

Just wondering if there has been a change to the way the champion scores are calculated..

That #1 spot is not me! Promise! Tamers got the super ninja nerf stick! I did a whole spawn and barely got about 20k points. I just wanted to see what happened. All but 1 in the top 10 were dexers and the #1 was an archer.

Edit: I'm over in Lakeland. I drive to Tampa every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday though.

I paid Tampa a small tribute with the whirlpool signups.

Bumping this to keep attention on it.

Also, can we have a minimum score implemented so we don't have hordes of tards recalling in when champ arrives to do their 200pts of damage and walk away with a damn scroll while ten people with 20k damage get nada?

I've always thought once the boss spawns, the area should be locked, not allowing anyone else in...

But that would be too trammy for the griefers.

Yeah, that'd be too Trammy. As much as I love to rack up a high score on a champ and then see that power scroll land in my backpack, I'd hate to see champs become noob-alized. The golden rule of UO is simple: Risk Free = Boring.

I do agree with heads being choppable in the champ zones. That's just regular UO style. I think the balance is there. Champs are definitely raidable but you've got to commit to raiding it. You can't just zerg risk free without worrying about statloss anymore.

The above leads me to another point. As a player who has devoted many character slots to red characters, I don't want to see too many changes that make it easy to be a PK. I devoted valuable character slots to red characters so that I can keep the slaughter going. If it's too easy to be a red then everyone will be a red. If everyone is a red then there are less blues for me to hunt.

Locking the zone wouldn't make it risk free at all. It would just require the reds to come in before the boss, instead of when the boss is @ 10%...

Trust me, being attackable by anyone at anytime does NOT have it's advantages.

If everyone is a red, then you would be fighting other reds as opposed to blues?

Logic - trams just don't have it.

The champ spawns are pretty much trammel at this stage, i haven't successfully raided one in prob a week, but haven't played very much, along with other guildies too.

Are you sure it has only been that long?

I know you guys are having problems despite your mass recruiting. Honestly I didn't think you had done anything successfully in months.

tap that thang, maybe I should clarify my statement. When I mean raiding a champ spawn I am going on the assumption that a PK will be raiding with other guildies/allies.

And also when I say PK'ing I mean hunting blues that are farming in dungeons. I guess PK'ing could mean killing a player under any circumstance but I always think of it as going after blues that are hunting in dungeons. I certainly enjoy PvP battles where all combatants are willing and out there for an epic battle. There are other times where I want to hop on a red and go hunting blues for sport. Dueling vs Hunting I guess.

We probably agree on the fact that champs aren't raided enough. Recently its seems that the only people doing champs are the guilds that popped them. A lot of times no one really bothers to show up to them at all. Too many power scrolls out there already? Everyone too busy training their metas? I'm not sure why attendance has dropped but I remember when Barracoon drew HUGE crowds. What do you guys think?

Maybe some of the experienced players are having a break for a bit, and new people like me are jumping on (my 1x gm provo archer probably will not be welcome along)

With the introduction of meta dexers I foresee a serious imbalance incoming if dexers are going to have the same weight to their score that they currently have.

Especially if people start getting into slayer armor more (and judging by my crystal workbench sales, they are)

I trust things will be handled appropriately.

Of course.. I find it amusing that I can pull 20-30k points in 10 minutes just coming to the last level of a spawn with a dexer.
